CENSCURE WOMENSWEAR LOOKBOOK- AUTUMN/ WINTER 2012

If a tree falls in a wood and no-one is there to hear, does it make a sound?

‘Censcure’ explores the concept of censorship, whether it exists and in what way we can censor ourselves. The trend is design to mishape, edit and warp the body form, applying structured fabrics and shapes.
Using the Sheffield Hallam ‘Alien Bodies Collection’, created by various first, second and third year students, the human form has been reconstructed and redesigned.
the colour palette is neutral and the silhouettes are big and bold.

Being published in ‘Fashion Branding’ book by Sandu Publishing.

I spotted this graphic designer whilst looking at the DirtyMouse blog. I love the typography and the layered pages would work very well in our ‘censorsed’ look book. Images can be layered on top of each other through inventive printing and positioning.

Saw this design by Gareth Pugh for the Carbon Life Ballet. Love the shapes and angles in this creation!
